The 2026 Spring Sprint

Two spiral-bound notebooks, one light purple and one cream-colored, with embossed and printed text.

The first 50 people to donate at $125 or more will receive one of these limited edition BSA journals!

Announcing the launch of Spring Sprint 2026, a fundraising initiative aimed at raising $14,200 by 31 May! All donations will directly support the administration of our research fellowships program, fund community-led events across the continent and throughout the year, maintain the high quality of our publications, bolster BSA’s regular operating expenses, and fuel the work of over 75 volunteers who help to realize our mission.

In a climate where support for humanistic work has become increasingly restricted, grassroots efforts to foster community are more important than ever. And our community shows up! The past year has held a lot of change for our organization, and we’ve met that change with energy and mutual support. BSA has seen growth in our outreach efforts, innovations in programming, increasingly strong mentorship and financial support for the next generation of bibliographers, and impressive publications and exhibits created by our members. This momentum underscores the vital role the Society plays in advancing the study of books and bibliography. Scroll down to explore this season’s exciting offerings: a special virtual event featuring 2025 Schiller Prize winner Elizabeth Hoiem and the American Antiquarian Society’s Laura Wasowicz on 12 May, a limited-edition letterpress notebook to thank donors of $125 or more, and a matching fund made possible by the generous support of our council. Join us to celebrate our bibliographical community and make sure we have the resources to keep on doing what we do!

Fuel the future of bibliography: give now! ↑

Did you know that if every member of BSA gave just $30, we would not only meet but also double our fundraising goal for the year? That’s the power of community. While our endowment provides a strong foundation, annual fundraising is crucial to ensuring we can continue to empower researchers, build community around the book, and keep our projects thriving.

Ways to give:

A Token of Our Thanks (through 11 May) ↑

As a special thank you to early donors, the first 50 people who contribute $125 or more before 11 May will receive one of our new, limited-edition letterpress journals. These notebooks were specially commissioned to celebrate our community’s commitment to the book as both a craft and an object of study.

Double Your Impact (12–31 May) ↑

Thanks to a generous matching gift pledged by the BSA Council in Memory of Joan M. Friedman, every dollar you donate will be matched 1:1, up to $6,000. This means your contribution goes twice as far in supporting the future of bibliography.

Want to give but can’t do it right now? ↑

Pledges of future support are always welcome! Just contact Executive Director Tracy Floreani at executive.director@bibsocamer.org.
